I expect that David Reutimann, Scott Wimmer, Jeremy Mayfield, Ward Burton & Kenny Wallace are all very disappointed.

Got to remember that even though Nascar.com is Nascar's official voice on the internet, it's no longer owned by Nascar and the people putting up content there, may not be high enough on the food chain to have a current Nascar rule book.

Wow. Reutimann had a pretty fast car.

Yea, he did, I think he might've been 8th on the speed charts. That sucks that he won't be in the race. He ran quite well in the Busch race today and he would've actually given Toyota a decent finish for once!

Arrow for the new fans of NASCAR :

A few years ago there was 2 rounds to qualifying.
On Friday was 1st round of qualifying & the fastest 25 cars were locked-in
(once locked-in, those 25 drivers could NOT be bumped)
2nd round qualifying was ran on Saturday & it gave the drivers a choice,
drivers that were 26th on back could either stand on their Friday time ...
or try to improve their time on Saturday ...
if a driver took any qualifying laps on Saturday, his Friday time was erased ...
if a driver's time/speed was low, he risked being bumped by a faster car.

(If Friday qualifying was rained-out, Saturday's qualifying set the entire field)

But that was before the 1 round of qualifying & 1 engine rule ...
then came the top 35 lock-in & it is anyone's guess what is next.

I will say I did like the 2 rounds of qualifying but with NASCAR, it is what it is ...
you either accept what they set as the rule(s) or else.

That didn't last long. At the end of lap 1 Yeley & Ragan got together Rudd got caught up in it too.

Looks like Jimmie Johnson will probably win again.

Maybe Jr. will pull it off???

Same ol' race at Texas...wide and boring. Nothing too entertaining here.
