Question About Past Race
Hello there,
I am trying to recall a race from several years ago.
I believe it was a ferrari and porsche in the final lap. Ferrari ends up winning. It was head to head, Porsche was winning on the outside and the ferrari comes on the inside and taps the porsche slightly. Then takes the win.
The final lap took place at night.
I thought it was le mans but I couldn't find anything on it.
Thanks

Re: Question About Past Race
Sounds like Steve McQueen's [fictional] film Le Mans. It's a while since I've seen it so I can't remember.
Incidentally, why didn't you post it on the "History" forum? After all, that's what it's there for!Duncan Rollo

Re: Question About Past Race
If the last lap was at night, Petit Le Mans maybe?

Sebring finishes at night, I think.

In the movie "LeMans", a Porsche wins, but not the one Steve McQueen was driving.
Both the Petit LeMans and Sebring end at night. If you are talking about racing in the GT class, that event happened in 2007 at Sebring, in the GT2 class. You can see the last two laps of the race here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MjWo8VdMb8I"Risk sweetens everything" - Peter Revson (1939 - 1974)
