Today and tomorrow, the 10 finalists will compete to win a seat for several ERC rallies + rallye du Condroz.
I'll go to Mettet tomorrow to see it live.
    And the nominees are:
The top 5 juniors in 2013: Matthias Boon, Polle Geusens, Ghislain de Mevius, Guillaume de Mevius and Thibault Radoux
The top 5 selected after a few tests (simulator, interviews,...) last week: Gino Bux (23 ans), Romain Delva (21 ans), Guillaume De Ridder (21 ans), Simon Pirard (19 ans) and Arthur Tanghe (18 ans).
So..Is this easy win for Boon or is there some other to follow??
Geusens, Ghislain de Mevius and Radoux can surely beat Boon. Guillaume has less experience than those, but I wouldn't underestimate him. The five selected has less chance De Ridder is I guess the most experienced and Tanghe got some experience a bit everywhere he's the son of Claudie Tanghe (Pilot and owner of Autonews Magazine).

Both selections has nothing to do with eachother and also none of the events interfere with eachother so it's possible he could do both..

He will compete in Azores, Belgium, Czech Republic, Switzerland and Corsica on boad a Citroen C2 R2 Max along with his usual co-driver Iulian Nicolaescu. Meanwhile, Simone Tempestini announced a 6-round J-WRC programme.

I'm surprised too, seems he impressed alot against the more experienced pilots like Boon, Geussens, Ghislain de Mevius and De Ridder. Bux has some rallying experience but most experience comes from racing on circuit I think.

I've been to the Shoot-out this afternoon. Bux was faster by 2 tenths. But the stage, on a asphalt circuit, was slow and tricky. Not a single fast corner (never in 5th gear). It was (almost) all about braking points and avoiding mistakes.
Anyway, Gino Bux seems to have a good potential.
Just a pitty that Kevin Demaerschalk, former RACB member, is out of the picture. IMHO he is the only young Belgian who have enough talent to be the next Neuville.
