He is not slow at all. I would say even more - he is bloody fast! Just look on last year ERC "Liepaja-Ventspils" results - http://www.ewrc-results.com/results.php ... spils-2013
1st day - in dark, on unfamiliar surface - disaster. 2nd day - all stages (except one) Top10 times, 2 stages - Top3. 3rd day - all stages in Top3!!! He outpaced guys like Delecour and Lukyanuk and was on pace with Breen.

If I remember right he started on old Pirelli WRC tyres and moreover broke suspension in one of first stages. He run up-to-date Muchelin tyres in the last day.

Perhaps something has been lost in translation.....
"Not too slow" means fast ! I've been fan for some time since his Clio days and has a good future if he gets the breaks.

Yes, I must admit I admire Jan Cerny too! I remember when he started driving Subaru in ERC at the age of 18. I thought what the hell is this kid looking for? But he wasn't bad at all.



And when he switched to Clio R3 he made some astonishing results. He won ERC 2WD in 2012. Can he repeat it in 2014? I wish him good luck!

Next month we know which Belgian will compete in this championship with a 208 R2

Today and tomorrow, the 10 finalists will compete to win a seat for several ERC rallies + rallye du Condroz.
I'll go to Mettet tomorrow to see it live.
And the nominees are:
The top 5 juniors in 2013: Matthias Boon, Polle Geusens, Ghislain de Mevius, Guillaume de Mevius and Thibault Radoux
The top 5 selected after a few tests (simulator, interviews,...) last week: Gino Bux (23 ans), Romain Delva (21 ans), Guillaume De Ridder (21 ans), Simon Pirard (19 ans) and Arthur Tanghe (18 ans).
