our first baby (the canine one) which we had to give away to a friend as we didn't want him to be alone all day.
playing my guitar - I am no pro but better than a beginner
walking up a hill or a mountain and getting that feeling of being tired but very satisfied at getting to the top
listening to music while driving on empty and winding roads (which doesn't happen often enough!)
getting soaked in the first few torrential monsoon storms (this is truly amazing and almost a ritual every year)
good food and cold beer - preferably near the sea

Right now , one of the most enjoyable bits in my life are the jam sessions I host down at the coffee shop .
Almost every Friday night , all the local talent comes out of the wood work , bringing new songs and old to the table .
We'll play almost anything .
One cat , affectionately known as "Herman the German"(his choice) comes out now and again and throws in a few Austrian and/or German folk songs .

Our one drummer , Ian , is 84 this year , I think , and he can keep up .
We have a scream , and often produce music that should have been recorded .
Maybe some day .


And , during the day , the bagwan is building is building his house , which he is loving .

I certainly hope that if you are a swimming Medusa I don't look into your eyes. I consider myself a strong swimmer, but could not swim if turned to stone.

As for the surf incident, it was more a poor judgement that worked out with some luck incident. I'm actually more comfortable diving under large waves... unless a Medusa might lurk there!
