As fans struggle to find out the results of the Wales Rally GB, an event official has confirmed to iRally that the official championship timing system, delivered by the Spanish company SIT Sports, has been under a hacking attack, which may have begun on Thursday.

The official insists that - while the timing has been attacked - the tracking system, essential to the safety operation of the rally, has not been compromised.

Wrc.com is currently unable to bring you full results from the final three stages of Wales Rally GB due to an issue with the FIA World Rally Championship's results system.

The results team is working hard to resolve the problem, and we will bring you the final positions as soon as possible.

If hackers are the cause behind inexistent or inaccurate timing, then SIT gets hacked at every event...

I am surprised that they dont have any backup version. Ok, we are doing only events in Czech republic, but I am sure that, in case of problems, we are able to reconstruct the complete results much more quicker...

Stage1 was not absolute winning too. They hardly wanted to make a change at FIA, but it is not so easy to prepare compact system for it, especially with split times (which I hate - for the crews into the car, not for spectators).
