I must say that Daytona Prototype racing will end its existence this year (within Grand Am) on a high note, before being merged with ALMS P2 class under the USCR umbrella next year. There is lots of wheel to wheel racing, breathtaking finishes, and races involving at least a dozen cars with multiple chassis and engine manufacturers. Right now, the point spread between the top five cars is like five points with only three more races to go. Next year, when the DP cars are merged with ALMS P2 into one class, things are likely to get even more interesting. This is great stuff.
