I consider current Indycar Dallara spec racers to be among the ugliest ever. Worse, this is from from an Italian designer!
This example is G Pantano from 2012 Mid-Ohio race.

Legendary Mini designer Alec Issigonis had the dubious distinction of being involved in the development and design of one the most hideous creations ever seen on a race track, The Fry- Climax with it`s extreme forward driving position, and long prominent D-type tail, was in aesthetic terms, as bad as it gets, with performance to match,

you do realize that the power form the hybrid unit is not constant... It's there only for very short periods. So for a first time out it won't make a big differance
