    For aesthetic beauty if not anything else, the Ford F3L must rank very highly indeed.

    Yes, it was indeed — the works Escorts he ran at the same time in saloon car racing were in basically the same colours.

    +1 for the F3L - Saw its debut at the 1968 BOAC 500 - loved it ever since.
    The previous year Alan Mann had fielded the very flash red and gold Ford Falcon for Frank Gardner in which he won the British Saloon Car Championship. Not pretty but very arresting!
    Kris Meeke got fired -PSG so terrified they quit!
