May I suggest setting up some parameters then, like say, involved in the most wrecks, or something like that, and not make the topic so broad, so we can become better enabled to answer your topic. Worst team or driver in Busch or Cup…give me a break!

I would then have leaned toward JJ Yeley based off a thread from earlier this season that listed him with the highest average wrecks last season. I think Stan may have posted it?

Silly me, I just thought I could give my opinion. :
I'm choosing Joey Logano as my avatar. I feel he is a worthy ally.

    How about Kevin Lepage ?
He has failed to qualify for ALL 6 Nextel Cup races so far this season ...

in 199 previous cup starts over the last 10 years, Kevin Lepage has :
    0 wins, 2 top 5s & 9 top 10s ...
finished on the lead lap in only 39 races ...
& also failed to finish 45 races ...

If you are looking for a loser, look @ Kevin Lepage !

Later that summer on the same weekend in August, Indy 500 rookie of the year Jim Hickman was killed at Milwaukee. ARCA driver Gene Richards died at Talladega, and Hydroplane racer Dean Chenoweth was killed. To make matters worse Al Unser Sr's daughter died in a dune buggy accident. 1982 was harsh, and things have really come a long way since then.
I recall a similar time. I went to the August race at Talladega in 1975. On Saturday, I saw Mark Donohue set a world closed course speed record with his Porsche CanAm car. The next day, the Cup race was rained out. Next week I returned for the Cup race and Tiny Lund was killed on the 8th lap and Donohue was fatally injured in a wreck that same weekend in Austria.

Name one decent team he has driven for. Lepage is unkown quantity as he always seems to be with the less privledged teams.

    Angry

Looks like you just want a certain answer & won't accept anyone else's opinion.

I gave you numbers but you discounted my opinion
FYI Kevin Lepage drove for Jack Roush in the #16 :
    1998 - races 21 thru 33 (1 top 10)
    1999 - ALL 34 races (1 top 5, 2 top 10)
    2000 - 32 of 34 races (1 top 5, 3 top 10)
Then Jack Roush fired him !

Kevin Lepage went to Morgan-McClure #4 in 2001
    races 6 thru 28 (0 top 5, 0 top 10)
Then Larry McClure fired him !

he then went to Jim Smith #7
    2001 - races 29 thru 36 (0 top 5, 0 top 10)
Then Jim Smith fired him !

I feel sorry for Kevin this year as the FRM equipment is not good enough. Kevin is a very solid driver who has often worked miracles in lesser teams - Daytona a couple of years ago comes to mind.
In terms of guys who have done little over the years in Nextel/Winston Cup you've got to look at people like Chad Little who never really did that well in any of his rides, David Green consistently struggled and of course there were Loy Allen, that Japanese guy that raced for Travis Carter in the #66 a few years ago, Christian Fittipaldi and good old Buckshot!
Of the current drivers I think Jeff Green has never shown he belongs in the Nextel Cup and don't think Paul Menard is good enough. Its a shame that guys like Johnny Benson can't get a cup drive when Menard can.
Message to Ganassi - Get Sterling in the #40 full-time. Those were the days.

agree with Jeff Green, he's done very little with the Cup rides he's had. same with the Busch cars aside from those couple of years with ppc.
