Aki Racing Team End of Season Messages
-Aki Racing Team would like to thank the organiser of FGP N. Jones for his hard work for the 2013 season. He has controlled the sport in a very positive manner.
-ART (Aki Racing Team) would also like to extend a warm congratulations to the 2013 FGP Champions Force Yorkshire, and podium finishers Spitze Gurke Racing and Team Purple Frog.
-The ART has enjoyed its second season of FGP despite the poor performance this season. It would like offer a special thanks to 2 other backmarker teams that have played a key role in the backmarker battle of 2013. Firstly our main rivals who finished 41st and despite missing out on a top 40 have beaten us fairly, the Astra F1 Team and there team boss rjbetty.
-Also a bad luck message to the POSF1 outfit formerly sponsored by HP who finished behind us in 46th.
Look forward to racing you further up the grid in 2014.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

Re: Fgp 2013
POSF1 can officially announce that they have found sponsorship for next season. The team will be sponsored by Oxy-Clean and famous model railroad company Lionel.
"These companies are looking to broaden their customer base and they felt POSF1 was the best place to do so. We are extremely excited about this new partnership and we look forward to building a new car for the 2014 season." stated team principal Garry Gould.
"The team will now be known as - Oxy-Clean POSF1 Sponsored by Lionel and our tag line is: “A clean diesel engine never looked so slow… uh. I mean clean!”"" Lady - I'm in an awful dilemma.
Moe - Yeah, I never cared much for these foreign cars either."

Aki Racing Team Season Review
So with the end of the 2013 season comes a review of ART (Aki Racing Team)s season in which they finished 43rd out of 46.
After finishing 32nd in 2012 in their debut season in FGP the Aki Racing Team moved into 2013 looking to push on into the top 20, however it was evident as early as pre season testing that the teams Sauber Chassis was flexing and would spell trouble for the team.
The team kept Jenson Button for a second season, but a poor Car meant he Qualified poorly for the opening race and with a shed of a Williams New boy Bottas was going to struggle for anything. The Mercedes Engine was powerful and would be the only thing keeping the team off the bottom.
The season started with signs of things to come as the team wasted their bonus GP in Round 1 and could still only finish 13th.
Round 2 saw the team slip into what would become a familiar position. Finishing 4 laps behind the winner in 43rd.
Round 3 was a bonus as the team made use of retirements and Mercedes Engines to finish 26th, just 2 laps behind, while Round 4 in Bahrain ended in a pile up at turn 1 by finishing 44th on 23 points with Lotus not Lotus and Team Tango.
The same thing happened in Round 5. 44th on 23 points again this time with McLaren Domination and POSF1. Round 6 in Monaco was a rare high 21st, helped by Mercedes Engines.
A Low came in Canada as ART saw a car stall on the grid and a driver going for donuts. Thus finished 46th with 15 points. A 32nd in Britain was a average race and by now ART had set a target of just a Top 40 finish.
Two decent finishes before half season saw 29th and 24th in Germany and Hungary left ART positive and ahead of Astra F1 Team as the battle hotted up, after the said teams boss rjbetty had slagged off Bottas several times.
Round 11 in Belgium saw 35th and Monza 30th meaning ART were into the top 35 at this stage. 33rd in Singapore showed the team to be consistant which kept them ahead of Astra, Henners and POSF1, but lacked stand out results to push the season on.
Later in the season the teams engines were fading, but the Sauber chassis was improving so points continued but great results occasionally by othesr led ART to sink. Round 14 saw a 28th place, while Rd 15 in Japan gained more Sauber points but lacked a star result.
Rd 16 India signalled the end of the challenge for top 40, as a joint last finish saw ART plummet. A 43rd finish 5 laps down in UAE put them into the bottom 5.
Rd 18 saw a brief rest bite with 35 and so Rd 19 in Brazil saw steveaki13 put out a plee for a final hoorah, however 28th was not the boost he wanted.
So 43rd out 46 for the season. Aki Racing Team look forward to December 1st where they officially gain sponsorship by Hedgehog Gutter Brush.I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy
