2014 Russian GP confirmed in November?

Formula 1 - 2014 Russian GP 'to go ahead in November' - Yahoo! Eurosport UK

I'm happy that they added another location for an F1 race,
    The track looks interesting
    But the date seems ridiculous
we could see snow at that GP, its Sochi after all.

The only date that makes sense for a Russian GP would be in the middle of he summer
    you can't argue with results.

That seems strange on two counts.

Like you say it is going to be very cold in November surely. Afterall nay football games on then are usually frozen or snowy.

Also at that time in the season F1 is usually away in Asia & South America, it seems strange to throw a European Date in there.
I still exist and still find the forum occasionally. Busy busy

Sochi climate is a bit warmer than in-land Russia. Still, Wikipedia reports average low temperature for November is 7.8C and average high about 15C. This doesn't seem so great. October would have been nicer. August and July would have been the best time for a race from business perspective since the place is packed with people spending their summer vacations there. The tickets would sell in no time. But November? You basically have to count on people traveling to Sochi just for the Formula 1 race. Sochi by itself does not have very big permanent population.

I hope it's not November but a bit earlier and also hope Ausitn doesn't get bumped up the Calendar. It's hot enough as it is.
