I wish them a quick and good recovery!
We were there and saw everything happen... It's a well known place, every year cars go off there. This year there was no forbidden area on that corner, which frankly is just stupid. Unfortunately I predicted something would go wrong there seeing where the people were placed.
The young woman had surgery, broken pelvis and legs. The boy had only bruises.

Despite that, we saw a good rally: https://www.facebook.com/TACrally/vi...0949944650810/

Good win for Abbring. After 2014 I didn't think he would ever win a rally in a 208.

Had a good rally. Yesterday I was, just like dupanton, at the place of the crash where 2 people got hurt, which was a sad thing to see. Fortunately things were not more serious than this. If it happened with one of the first cars, it could have been much worse, as there were much more spectators. It's a place where someone crashes every year, the organizers knew the risks there. It just seems like the organisation doesn't take their responsibility. I've been on places with dangerous spectators, never seen a marshall or safety car take action. Competition-wise it was a great event. Great entries thanks to the R5's. Abbring-208 was a bit too strong for the opposition. I think it's interesting to mention that Kevin was quicker in comparison to Verschueren on stages with more junctions and longer straights, while on more difficult stages the difference was smaller. Maybe due to better exits in those slow corners by Abbring, maybe because the engine of the 208 R5 isn't that bad at all?
