We are heading down to Hampshire on Friday with a view to cycling some of the road race route and doing a partial recce for when we chase the men's road race around on our bikes on Saturday. We have tickets to the women's road race for next Sunday and after that we will be watching everything else on the television.
My phone has an alarm clock! Ner Ner! :p

Archery, judo and mountain biking are traditionally Colombia’s strongest sports at the Olympics.
We use to have good boxers . . . .
Any bronze medal would be an achievement.
So as you see, we are not strong on that department but if we had Nascar racing in the Olympics, we could get a good ol' solid 20th!Without sharing there can be no justice,
Without justice there can be no peace,
Without peace there can be no future.

London Olympics: Lord Coe's astonishing sponsors outburst - The Daily Record
Not that I'd follow the Olympics much, but come on - this is utter b*****it. I'd just like that to be a case of poor journalism rather than actual facts...

May I make a suggestion? Why don't we use the "Don't Mention the Games" thread to discuss the political and corporate side of the Games, and keep this thread for the sporting aspect of it. I guess that's what pino had in mind when he started it.

As a Canadian, I'm hoping for a top-12 finish in medal haul.
A top-10 would be awesome.
Being realistic.
