    GP3 Series in 2012

One of the teams is still to announce any drivers but still its a very interesting lineup so far, plenty of British interest and no less than three female drivers. Overall though with a full season under his belt, kiwi driver Mitch Evans I think is the favourite this year for top honours

    RSC MUCKE: 10. ???, 11. ???, 12. ???

Wonder, who are going to be competitive this year. In addition to Evans I think the Lotus GP trio can be contenders in the championship. Also Ceccon and already experienced da Costa can mix it with the frontrunners. And based on tests it is whispered that Cypriot Tio Ellinas could be good...

Congratulations to Daniel Apt for his win in race 1. Heartbreak for Mitch Evans after damage to his car forced him out of the race, he will start at the back of the grid for race 2 but is still in with a chance of winning the championship. Heartbreak too for Felix da Costa after mechanical problems saw him finish in 15th and ending his championship hopes. Vainio was given a 20 second penalty and dropped from p3 to p11 putting him out of contention. Race 1 was a nail biter, expect more of the same in race 2 as Apt challenges Evans for the championship win.

well what a final race - am sure that there was not a motorsport enthausist in NZ who was not watching - we were lucky enough to get the race live on SKY TV - congrats to Mitch - it sure has been a hard season and this weekend would have been a real rollercoaster ride - feel for Daniel Apt but so so pleased for Mitch

Congratulations Mitch, I was pacing the floor during the final laps of race 2. Wow, the highs and lows of motor racing. Also feel for Daniel Apt he drove brilliantly all weekend. Having to hold it together during interview time wouldn't have been easy, he did well.
