Easier Said Than Done - A Rally Documentary

Check it out - Easier Said Than Done - Official Early Teaser - YouTube

    and

Easier Said Than Done by Matt Johnston

I started working on it based around the U.S Championship, but have been at rally Mexico getting WRC material, and will be in Finland at least as well. I'm trying to make a film that does rally the justice it deserves.

Out of interest, how much have the FIA charged you for the rights for this?

Looks interesting. Is it from the perspective of starting as a US driver or are you looking to get input from locals from other countries trying to get on to the international stage?

This looks brilliant mate! I really hope it works out and you can make a decent film. I too have always wondered why there are no films about rallying, it's about as spectacular and imaginative a sport that can be! I may even donate, although a small amount, i'm not in Brazil but I do live with my Mum saving pennies so that I can compete in my battered Peugeot 205!

Good luck, and if you want me and my old Peugeot in your film, just give me a shout! Hoping to have it out on the stages for another event in a few months time.

I'm interested in following any really interesting stories/drivers. Yes, one of them is Chris Duplessis from the U.S as he competes in the WRC Academy this year. But that is just one segment of the film.

It doesn't have to be international also. I was a driver too once (in the U.S) and I know plenty of great stories happen at even the smallest events. I just need to know about them, if you have any tips. Let me know.

I have some custom helicopters and custom cable cam rig. The shots in the teaser were cable cam version 1, which did 60mph and was 600ft of cable. But now I'm using the new version which is faster, and longer.
