Loved the video, but a couple of noticeable things for me. One is that if I were you I'd buy a tripod... it makes the zooming in seem more even and when you sweep across it stays steady. The second is where you take from, so it depends on how vital a good video is, or if watching the rally is more important. Personally I think shots where you see the car coming at you for ages and then as it passes it disappears, to avoid the awkward moment when you just see the tail end of a car going into the distance!

Just my two cents, but hopefully some of our resident stars like Darkstar and the rallymedia bloke will have better advice!

your selection of places was very poor for filming...and the camera was shaky and the panning also had problems...pretty average video at best.

see these videos to get some ideas what amateur videos should look like

Acropolis Rallye Greece 2011 [HD] - YouTube

    and from some local events

Walk a little up the stage, you`ll almost certainly find good filming locations elsewhere without maybe so many restrictions. Common sense will tell you if somewhere is dangerous to stand, which is usually why they have spectating not allowed areas. Happy filming and please post your results on here.
