Yeah, I was not sure about the two other event that have applied for ERC, so I added Hellendoorn

    Arctic

I think you should add Arctic Lapland Rally - Tunturiralli to the poll. They were already on the way to 2012 IRC calender but organizers didnīt want to pay the fees.

+ As a Finnish competitor I really much want to see it in the 2013 ERC calender
Once it popīs, you canīt stop...

Also, the Dutch championship allows WRC etc in their rally's. So the rally should have to a) choose b) organise 2 rallies c) competitors should hire an other car for 1 rally in a year. I don't see any of these 3 happening

That's exactly the same with Ypres in the Belgian championship. I don't think it will be a big problem for the top Dutch drivers, this year in Sulingen (Germany) there were Kuipers, van Merksteijn, Wevers, Swaanen all in non-WRC cars.

But still it would be totally unrealistic for Hellendoorn to be part of the ERC.

I remember early 90ies Hellendoorn Rally was a very popular ERC Event (Coef. 10?) with nice entry lists. But I think many things are changed.

Thank you pucky for create this thread. Its not easy to pick out 10 rounds from that list, I think FIA will show us a first calendar in two weeks.

I tried to make a good mix of Asphalt (Barum, Corse, Mille Miglia, Ypres, Asturias) and gravel (Poland, San Marino, Scotland, Bosphorus). Last one I dont remember ... :-) Valais want to be in WRC from 2014 (and they should), Madeira / Acores / Canarias were big events in the 90ies, where money comes from Organizer, but today they are too expensive for ERC. If somebody want to waste money with travel, can go into WRC.

For future, ERC should have every year two new events, instead of the two unpopular rallies of current season (point system made by FIA Observer).

Maybe it's no problem for the big guys. But guys like Smits, Van Hoof etc. are regular drivers in the championship, but can't use their cars if it would be ERC.

But OK, i don't think that will be the case in the next 5 years

I think it's easier to get P. Nobre to be a world rally champion than get the FIA to read our needs
    it's all about driving fast
