I think the entry in UK IRC rounds is more to do with fact that local drivers have never purchased their own S2000 cars over the last say 4 or 5 years.

Between Irland and UK you have two countrys with much rally heritage and very good national championships but how many S2000 cars have been purchased, i no breen,brable, i cant think of many more. And even the 2 i mention i think were purchase relatively recently.

I think the uptake on S2000 cars was stronger in mainland europe which will give you more qaulity entrys in barum,ypres and so on.

Here in Ireland for starters we do our own thing in rallying were no one to follow the uk,if anything at the moment only for good young Irish drivers the like of the BRC would be a poorer champ

So for your info Craig or rob have not bought their cars recently Craig has hîs car now for ac third season and rob is into his second Season with the car.Jonny Greer had a skoda till very recently.the mchale family were involved with the corsa S2000 project

And we have other drivers in the past with S2000's so the whole thing ain't alien to us.Perhaps the fact that our national championship runs WRC's doesn't see a huge influx of S2000

LOL yeah... Just like back in 2007 when all Irish guys we're telling how the local specialists would beat the cr*p out of Bosse, Loeb and other WRC guys in those highly specialized conditions when Rally Ireland was driven in the WRC for the first time.

But Skoda and Pugeot are spending time testing last week all weekend and into next week,peoople may sneer and laugh at us but i know from persnal experience it take a bit to adapt a car off a european tar spec to an irish spec,no matter how some people see it

Craig Breen said last year in Barum something like that Your asphalt is pretty nice compared to Barum one where You meet five different sorts of asphalt in one kilometer with holes and bumps everywhere
