Wilks gets 2011 Peugeot Uk drive!

    http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/87792

Guy Wilks has signed a deal to drive Peugeot's 207 Super 2000 on 11 rounds of next year's Intercontinental Rally Challenge.
The deal is expected to be announced by Peugeot tomorrow morning and will end weeks of speculation concerning the identity of the driver who would take the seat vacated by outgoing IRC champion Kris Meeke.

I really thought Guy would stay with Skoda, especially as they clearly have the fastest car!

This is the best possible news for the championship. Kopecký and Loix need competition

So Mirek you think that Wilks can ''show'' competition against Kopecky-Hanninen,after 2010 seazon?

To Kopecký yes, to Hänninen no as he won't start in IRC (besides two or three occasions)

We should also consider that now Wilks will have factory car. He didn't have it in 2010...

Still no final decision is taken concerning Freddy's program in 2011. Only thing that seems to be sure for the moment is that he will do Monte Carlo in factory backed Skoda.

Will Skoda UK seek an other driver for 2011, or was did they only commit beause of Wilks?

It is quite a big surprise, but a good choose for Peugeot. Wilks is the best thing in the UK after Meeke if they seek instant succes. I thought that Wilks got assistent and a works car from Skoda on several occasions in 2010?

Edit. Skoda Uk will continue in 2011
