Back to OP: Nissan Micras. It seems the vast majority are members of the 40mph club. No wonder there's so many accidents on A & B roads caused by impatient drivers.

A BMW is considered a luxury car around here, typically owned by middle-aged bankers or CEOs who enjoy flaunting their wealth .
I can't single out any particular make or model but by far the most aggressive drivers around here are those that drive a pick-up truck. Accelerating when being overtaken is only a no no on S2 roads, on multi lane roads it matters not.

I thought accelerating is permissible as long as your speed doesn’t max out above the posted limit?
