Entries for Ovisepät-ralli closed at midnight. 207 entries, though 180 is mentioned to be the maximum. For a national rally some nice names on the list. Apart from the ones mentioned in my previous post also Mikko Pajunen (TMR R4), Jukka Hiltunen (Fabia S2000), Joni Nikko (Evo 9), Tomi Weurlander (Impreza WRX), Jaro Kinnunen (Civic), Kristian Kiviniemi (Civic), etc. Not many top F-Cup drivers, but Krister Sjölund (Starlet) who won the previous round is worth a mention. It'll be a proper start for the summer season :-)

Yeah, they will take 180. Eliminations are done from the blind classes. Very good entry, I can't wait for the rally...
And what I've heard - stages will be pure gold, some old legendary roads.Satakymppi, oikee yks

FRC guys have been doing some summer testing during the past few days. I have a small video coming up from a test session with Salo, Kinnunen, J. Grönholm, etc. from last Sunday as soon as I get some technical issues resolved.
There might be small changes coming to Ovisepät entries, we'll see during the next few days...Satakymppi, oikee yks

Looks like Salo has withdrawn his entry for Ovisepät Rallo. Or at least he didn't show up at SS1...
Nice weather and old 1000 Lakes stages. Not a bad way to spend Saturday afternoon.Photos: rallirinki.kuvat.fi | Twitter: @HartusvuoriWRC

Nothing new under the sun. Lappi won, Pajunen second. After SS2 Pajunen led by two scratch times, but on the second run of Lempää stage (20,7 km) Lappi was 0,5s/km faster and decided the rally for himself. Especially Lappi second run was promising fast and aggressive.
Shame that Salo didn't particate. For comparison we'll have to wait for FRC Lapua two weekends from now. Though there some high top speed sections should fall for Salo's favour. Also Lappi retired from the rally early last year.
In 2wd Lindroos won after good homestrech.
There were also two Fabia R2s on the event which was nice.Photos: rallirinki.kuvat.fi | Twitter: @HartusvuoriWRC

Those Fabias were 1400cc cars, not R2.

Aha. Bodyshells were new thus mistaken. This way it makes more sense though.

M-Sport/ Ford have been testing using a 'simulator' in the USA. They say its helped improve the Puma Rally1 car, especially for tarmac. Does anyone know what this simulator could be like ? Story...
