Sky launches Sky Sports F1 HD

Strange choice. For me it's entirely about the end of the 2010 F1 season specifically the closing montage.

Especially regarding the last race "For one last time. We'll take this ride". Doesn't really work for the full season.

Having said that. I do love the song. It's one of only two I've ever downloaded from iTunes!

I quite like the song, but agree it was better suited to the 2010 finale. They could have chosen worse though. It beats all of ITV's efforts from 1997 to 2008, although that is not difficult.

They showed the opening montage on Sky Sports News the other day too, and I like the title sequence, showing some classic moments - actually an improvement over BBC's 2009-2011 titles, apart from The Chain of course.

This is where the song was originally featured and how I'll always think of it. Well worth a watch if you haven't seen it before.

I really loved Jamiroquai's effort in a nerdy sort of way (mainly it was the sample of air wrenches!)

At least it was written for F1 and it's about F1. I just wish they hadn't messed with the lyrics!
