    2012 IRC Regulations

What do we know of the 2012 regulations for IRC?

    For starters:
    - Tech regs
    - Classes
    - Calendar
    - Other issues

I think that the most interesting change is that the 1.6T will be most likely allowed.

Would imagine so. It would make sense for DR and potential customers.

Except DR is IRC-phobic. Hopefully he wouldn't let silly vendettas come in the way of a common sense business decision though.

He certainly isn't cash-phobic so that should overcome any old issues he has.

Will future R3T 4wd cars be as fast as S2000 1.6T cars?

If so there's no harm allowing S2000 1.6T in 2012 IRC, otherwise how can someone except the apperence of R3T4wd cars for 2013...

I´ve heard that new R3T 4wd or R4T (we will see the name of this division, but we all know what I am talking about) should be under 150 000 Eur. Present s2000 costs 270 000 Eur. So if the engine will be good enough (and with big restrictor) the chassis won´t be so good.
Visit South Moravia. It is the real paradise

I hope that IRC keep S2000 NA as their top class also for 2012. It has been a huge success, and have created the closest rallying we have seen i years.

Switch class to the new 4wd class coming for the the 2013 season.
Leave the WRCar and RRC/SP cars for WRC. Let them try and get a healthy championship together, with those hugely expensive cars.

Do not break something that works !
