Why infamous? I saw only the 19 km long so far and that is simply great. Except few places much more technical than ours...

Infamous = notorious. They dont forgive, rocks everywhere.
The 19k stage starts at sea level, rises to 170meters above and then dives back into Jossingfjord, and then up again on the other side, over the mountain and down again to Ana Sira. The elevation doesnt show that good in the video but adds yet another dimension to the stage.

The rally has only been driven for 3 years, we started it 2009 and have expanded ever since, now looking at approx 100 km stages for 2012. Its located between Stavanger and Kristiansand on the south-western coast, close to ferries from the continent. Hoping for more international participation, so the 2012 date is the weekend before Germany.

    I finally found something.

Part 3 from 3:02 to 3:17. Looks like the place I’ve mentioned. I remember seeing it from a different angle.

Beginning of part 3 is from day 4 and by the route map I think this spot is somewhere on the Mbulu hills around Lake Manyara.

Looks like this spot. Nice scenery. Maybe I’ve should added the thread name also spectacular stages.

    Oh, great
Could be more or less the same place of this? (starting from 15:57, Rovanpera with the 206)
