Regardless the design I personally don't like how the car behaves particularly on jumps. In the videos from Portugal jumps (shakedown, both jumps on Fafe etc.) the car always hit end stops in the landing with visible rebound. Also here during Rally Českı Krumlov there was rather large number of jumps, this time on asphalt and in nearly all Fabia hit ground by the sumpguard. For sure it's connected with general softness of the suspension. As I said I'm no expert but I feel that in this moment it's not yet how it shall be.

Quite strange that they didn't have this sorted after all the testing. Did they make a late change to the design?

Some info from Kopeckı. In this moment there is only one final drive available. The top speed is as said before over 190 km/h. Rules allow two gear ratios to be homologated therefore the second option is still opened for future development.

Quite wise. I have not often seen the car hit it's rev limiter yet, so maybe they'll actually go a little shorter for the twisty events.

Kajetan Kajetanowicz will drive a brand new LOTOS Rally Team Fiesta R5 on the SATA Rallye Açores.

The Fiesta R5 Katjo has driven previously this year will be seen on Rallye Açores – in the very capable hands of seven-time Azorean rally champion Ricardo Moura.

It will be interesting to see how the Peugeots will be doing in Azores, WRC Portugal was less than stellar with 2 or 3 engine failures. Interestingly, the DS3s fared a bit better, with Lefebvre and Kruuda (except for a roll) not having many issues, but the others weren't so lucky...

Meireles touch in Portugal pre rally test result in a unexpected fissure at the engine block. Can the Fabia suspension design make the engine more exposed to front wheels strong impacts?

    China Fiesta R5.jpg

Porcelain inspired livery on a new Fiesta R5 being prepared for the 2015 Chinese Rally Championship, starting in Hunan this weekend. The sponsor is a local alcohol producer that has produces Beijiu (White Spirit) made from rice in white ceramic bottles. Thanks to Miss Rabbit for the picture.
