Either way, we can just hope it won’t be the same team that turned the 208/DS into a rally mess…

I don't expect them to make the same mistakes again with the new cars, they clearly have many experience what doesn't work, so...
In the meantime, maybe they could develop their customer service program. Botka said in an interview that they had to retire in Azores after they broke the gearbox cable, because they didn't have a spare, despite ordering a dozen in November, just that they haven't arrived yet... Also, he is contemplating a car swap (he'll do Canaries with the DS3, it is currently with Sports&You, after that nothing's sure), and wowed that he'll never buy a Peugeot or CitroŽn again.

    That's a shame.
Btw, will Botka be serviced by Sports&You in Canarias? They've been doing a great job wit Citro's.

He didn't touch on that subject, just that he needs to put in a lot of money to the freshly rebuilt car again and he is growing tired of it. Although I can see some kind of partnership between them as a last chance for the car, we shall see.

Whoever is sponsering Bergkvist in WRC2 need to buy or rent him a better car, preferably a Fabia. He has very little gain on his career in the ageing DS3.

He has the talent, but not able to show it now.

He's the official CitroŽn Racing test driver, so no other car is possible for him ATM.

I am actually thinking that he has hit a roof and has stopped developing. Sure, the Ds 3 is not the best but there are plenty of people doing better result than him, in the same car.

He did great in the Opel and he did a very good Valais and some good performances in Swedish rallies in a group N Mitsubishi, but apart from that he hasn't really managed to do anything special.

    His stage times are awful.

I am not so impressed by him anymore.

Maybe he'll surprise me in the future and I really hope he will because it was too long ago that we had a good Swedish driver.

Also he is associated with Citroen officially so I doubt they will "buy him a skoda or similar"

Does seem that he's in danger of being another Sepp Weigand but as itix says, I think one of those sponsors is Citroen, so he's unlikely to change. In theory he's a development driver too, so maybe he'll get a chance to prove himself with the new C3 R5 at some point.
