Fiesta is cheaper than other cars mainly thanks to the recent GBP exchange rate. Since the car is very good and M-Sport offers by far the best service it's definitely a good choice even if Fabia may be a bit faster.

So that makes Fiesta 160 + 25k, is that about right?
How much for a Fabia today?
180 was the value announced by Hyundai to the media in order to match FIA 'mandatory' price. It surely costs much more.

It was already said here before: all R5 models are over €200.000; some can reach almost 250.000 in full spec mode.

    i20:

Car 180k base + 55k obligatory extras + 25k gravel kit + extras that could cost between 500 and 25k

Nice info André. So, a full spec tarmac i20 can cost € 260.000! FIA regulatory prices are really a joke…

It looks like PSA is going to take over Opel. In that case I can see very slim chances for R5...

Interesting piece (from Nov '16) comparing R5's and 911's costs, based on Sergio Vallejo experience. A new DS3 costed him €250.000, while rebuild (they're used racing units) 911 prices would get to €200.000. Running costs also cheaper with the 911, even if some parts were pretty expensive. Regrettably 911's become redundant in spain main rally series, so their prices should be now a bit lower.

I have seen that article and I must say that some prices are quite out of reality.

Maybe but an R5 car for 250.000 euro is no ham sandwich either.

Also the R4 kit is no real replacement for group N cars.

There is no real cost friendly replacement for the group N cars atm.
