Wow. What a final day. Both championships decided by a point or two, and by nothing more than the width of a wheel in the final BSB race - 0.006 seconds. Incredible. I think over the Supersport season the battle between McConnell and Seeley has been one of the all time epics, up there with the Walker/Hodgson BSB title fight.

Contracts to Tommy Hill, don't like this Nascar style point system IMHO, Shakey would have been champion in old money. Anyway contracts again to Tommy

Eeee gads. That was a great final weekend! The final margin on the line reflecting just how close a season we have witnessed. The only thing that was perhaps missing was a little bit more sportsmanship from John. He was obviously hurting having lost, but he just came across bitter towards Tommy. The SS riders showed how to do things in that regard.
    All other opinions are wrong....

I've just about managed to climb down off the ceiling after that final race. The best championship decider ever? There should have been three championship trophies awarded this year.

    Great stuff wasn't it

BSB always manages to put on something special (as does all bike racing really). I'm not sure about the 'Showdown' though.... Tommy wrapped it up without winning any races in the final stages if i'm remembering rightly (Hopper x3, Byrne x2, Brookes & Laverty), kinds of makes a mockery of it.
