Motorbase drop Focus and Griffin
Motorbase Performance will not be running the ex-Arena Ford Focus cars in next seasons BTCC. The cars are now up for sale and I believe Motorbase will announce their 2012 plans i the coming weeks. Liam Griffin is also set to leave the team and the championship at the end of the season.

Griffin has been disappointing TBH...if you judge the yardstick to be your team mate he's not ever really been that close to Jackson.
As for the Focus I imagine they've seen the issues Team Aon has struggled with on the 'world car' and figured it might be less of a risk to look elsewhere. Avensis?:champion: WRC3 championship, WRC4 championship, WRC4 PCWRC, WRC4 ERC

They work better with rwd cars.. I reckon they will go with the Audi A4. They may even bring David Pinkney back?
With Pinkney back they won't need money from Addison Lee.. Problem over!
I suppose I will have to sell my Ford jacket now?
Do you know when they will be announcing their plans Alfa Fan?

I don't... but I'd have thought before the end of the season there will be at least an indication of what they are doing! Peter will know more, if he's willing to share

NGTC provides the perfect opportunity for Motorbase to build their own cars and take their journey in the BTCC to the next level.

Well it looks like Arena will be sticking with the BTCC after all! Gio's reported to have been in talks with them about racing in the WTCC potentially, but last weekend said he was keen on BTCC as well. I think it might be time for Tom Chilton to swallow his pride and allow a proper superstar driver to race alongside him in his team, as with Gio, I'd say there's a good chance of winning the championship!

Wet conditions. Portuguese Autosport brought something to the table... the WRC2 crews are using a WRC spec tyre that is harder than the spec Meeke and other CPR runners are using.
