[IRC, ERC, MMCR] Barum Czech Rally Zlín 2011

Okey, it's more than four months until this event, but it's never too early. Some basic information on the event has been published on autosport.cz and it looks like the succesful formula from last few years will be repeated this year also.

BCRZ will be held August 26th-28th.

    BASIC PROGRAM RALLY

    24th Wednesday
    Recce

    25th Thursday
    Recce
    Administirave check in the evening
Scrutineering at Zlin sport hall starting 6 PM

    26th Friday

08-13 hours: test SS (shakedown - near Otrokovice)
    17:00
    the ceremonial start of Rally
    21:00
    Super SS Zlin

    27th Saturday
09 hours - start of the first SS in Day 1

    28th Sunday

08 hours - start of the first SS in Day 2
    15:30
hours - Finish of the rally -

If I understand right from the article, it should be four stages repeated each day, with SSS Zlín totaling in 17 stages.

I figure there is no reason to believe the entry wouldn't be any less than last year. Of course that is someting we'll know for sure once it's published. But top drivers of IRC and MMCR will definitely be there, hopefully some fast drivers from ERC as well.

Thanks for pointing this out. From the timetable you'll get rough overview now, but for any considerable planning one must wait for the proper version. But it have always been like this, right?

Is shakedown still the same as it were last year, though RG1 states it is some 300m shorter? From which end shorter?

Ok, time to bump this thread to the top!

Any rumoured "special" entries beyond the expected yet?

It surprises me we have never had live tv for Barum. Rallying is big in CZ, and maybe Eurosport could share the footage with some local tv station?

Interesting if he does, maybe he can surprise there too although roads are not really comparable with Ypres.
