    That's because you are weird.

I love to wear jeans - but hate shopping for them. Buying them is so hit and miss. If you are lucky you get a pair that you love and wear till they fall apart, if not they end up in a charity shop.
    Flonkkkk.

Can you please get off your soap box as your boring me already. My original comment about being surprised that you would wear such expensive jeans has its merrits and quite frankly isn't something that you should be getting your knickers or should I say jeans in a twist about. You seem to lead quite an active outdoors life which would lead me at least to think you wouldn't want to spend such an amount of money on jean which are likely to get wrecked pretty quickly. As much as I can afford to buy a pair a £140 pair of jeans I personally wouldn't then wear them to do my gardening or decorating or whatever in. I would personally rather buy the £8 pair of jeans (but not from Primark) and not be bothered if they get destroyed than buy an expensive pair and have exactly the same result. Although, having personally never bought a £140 pair of jeans I can't actually vouch as to how well they would hold up to such use and abuse. Maybe I would be surprised.

Thank you for giving me such an enthrawing insight into your social life. Whilst we're at it I happened to spend yesterday doing the red route mountain bike trail in Grizedale forest. Its classed as a difficult mountain biking trail and by 3pm I was hot, had been scrapped and scratched by the greenery and was covered in a liberal splashing of mud. Luckily by 7.30pm I had got home and scrubbed up into my own evening wear for a rather nice meal in a hotel overlooking the Langdale Pikes. Shocking, I know.

Lucky for me that Yorkshire is such a large county. Having just remembered that you have a tendancy to attack your neighbours I think my postcode is far enough away to not be worried just yet.

To be fair you do like to comment on things you don't really know about though. Like when you claimed that you could have got a bigger discount on a 500 than we did on scrappage despite the fact that I know a few people on forums who are dealers or are technicians at Fiat dealerships and at the time they couldn't have got any better deal than that because Fiat simply didn't do any better offers. But whatever

Daniel, my main issue with discounts was never about the 500 which you always go back to because you automatically go back to your own experience of the scrappage scheme and your precious 500. My issue with scrappage was that with some models of car you could quite often get more than two grand off the list price before scrappage. You previously stated you would never ever buy a new car but changed your mind because of the the scrappage discount. Scrappage aside I see that as a flawed argument to buying a new car because you could have previously got that on another type of car. You've said numerous times you could have got in on a 500 so you don't need to repeat yourself. I saw an old car with a stickeer on it the other day that said 'I survived the scrappage scheme'. It made me chuckle anyway.

Oh and I could have got more than a two grand discount on a 500. That was because my audit team finally discovered how the dealerships' nice 50 odd year old female accountant was defrauding them. A two grand discount was nothing compared to how much she was stealing. Although if I was going for the discount I would have taken it on a Subaru which they were also a dealership. Sadly I couldn't take advantage but as I no longer work for the company I did maybe I should go pick up a broshure. Unlike Hazell, that dealership really does love me.

No, you actually specifically stated that you could have got a better deal because you know exactly how much they buy them for.....

You argument is flawed, the 500 was a good deal because that level of discounting was never available before. Sure you could get 2k off other cars before, but as soon as you drove them off the forecourt they were worth less than what you paid, the 500 was worth more than what we paid for it when we drove it off the forecourt.....

Grow up. I was making a point. Anyway I like my Bootcut Levi's 506's but sadly they don't do the same extremely soft denim in the ones here as they do in the ones in Australia.

That's enough for me on this thread
