Mercedes completes Brawn GP takeover

German car manufacturer Mercedes completed a takeover of the rebranded Brawn GP Formula One team on Monday, after its parent company Deimler acquired all remaining shares from team principal Ross Brawn and his management partners.
In collaboration with its largest shareholder Aabar, Deimler purchased the remaining 24.9% of the team, which is now known as Mercedes GP.VERSTAPPEN: ‘If I’d let Sainz past, dad would’ve kicked me in the nuts!’

The sceptic in my asks, how many years of underperforming will Mercedes afford before quitting F1, following the likes of Honda, BMW, Toyota and Renault.

They'll be gone before long, which is why car manufacturers owning F1 teams should be discouraged!

They may bring in the bigger bucks but in the long term don't do much for F1.
