I have no idea what a block heater or interior heater is. I think that's fine. This morning when I went running at 8 it was a fresh +10ºC. As I came back towards home along the shore on the beach there was one man sleeping on the beach, and another going for a swim. And it's winter here. I don't think I'll ever live in Ireland again, so Canada? Brrr!

Believe me, I would much rather live in a climate where a block heater wasn't a neccessity

I don't know, it's a two-way street really. Cross-country skiing in late February sunshine or walking on a frozen lake next to trees/forest covered with snow is pretty cool as well, particularly when you know that it's not going to be forever.

So what if somebody swam? People do that all year here in Finland:

Of course you are too hot in the summer. You are female. My wife's thermostat is much fussier though...68 F and below she is cold, 72 F and above she is too hot!

At least you can handle the cold.....

The forecast is for a "balmy" -2C on Saturday, then -8 on Sunday. A weather forecast beyond 48hrs around here is about as usefull as a one-legged man in an @rse-kicking contest.
At least the white stuff is out of the picture for now.

This is what we purchased. The LE V-6 model.

The forecasters here are no better. Last Friday, they were calling for a big snow. WE didn't get it....and a clear weekend...and it snowed all night when I was driving back from Kingston. So really, you cant win.....I think they do weather by throwing darts at a dart board.

AS for the Van, well you are married with kids dude, the van is the piece to have.....even though it is as sporting as a kick in the teeth...
