I'm not sure what to make of Americans taking women's soccer so seriously.

The tale of salaries in women's sport is generally atrocious. Even in a sport mad country like Australia, I can't honestly think of a single sport (except maybe for people who are paid by the AIS) where jugadora take home enough of a salary to be able to even live off of.
