Some websites have begun to cover the incident. They say Bessenyei was transported to the hospital via helicopter, with a suspected spinal injury. Hopefully it won't be that bad though...

Here's the map from Finnish rally championship - https://t.co/OUfj7dUDAl
Question is - since when organizers in Finland has started mark dangerous places with exclamation mark? Not only on maps, in this winter Finnish rally marks were on the stages too (if I recall correctly). Ok, no doubts, for example SS5 marked place ir really tricky and demanding for drivers, after 700m straight, right after blind crest, downhill lefthander - https://www.google.lv/maps/@61.61735...2!8i6656?hl=lv
But doesn't kill it all essence of rally?

ei...Not really a few warnings here and there...Our Routebooks here always had occasional warnings of things that went beyond just be tricky but had dangerous consequences....we do have some big mountains and sometimes some exiting drops that usually are full of trees, but cut the trees which we do occasionally and no you can have bad off---off into the sky..
I remember a corner we'd see every 2nd rally---very fast into 4th on a ridge in trees, then a tricky left and at exact time the trees on the right stopped and hill sloped down steeply...When you approached you're looking into sky.

Even after 10 timesd there it was tricky and even 10 times a couple of knuckleheads would occasionally screw up the corner...

A little ! only go so far

N+ Evo's wouldn’t be there if local ASN stick to FIA’s regs.

Btw, the N5 Suzuki Swift will make its debut at Ourense, next CERA rally. Hopefully, another competitive class bringing more diversity to Spanish championship.

Veszprém Rally finished not long ago. Herczig was lucky to win, he destroyed the front of the car on the last stage and lost over a minute. Tóth was 2nd after day1, but lost 1:30 with a double puncture to continue his rancid run of luck this season. Results:

    1. Herczig-Bacigál, Skoda Fabia R5 1:45:01.4
    2. Ollé-Czakó-Budai, Ford Fiesta S2000 +15.9 (10s pen.)
    3. Balogh-Holczer, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX +41.5
    4. Spitzmüller-Béres, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X R4 +1:14.9
    5. Velenczei-Farnadi, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX R4 +1:29.1
    6. ifj.Tóth-Szőke, Peugeot 208 T16 Evo +2:03.1
    7. Trencsényi-Verba, Ford Fiesta R5 +2:20.6
    8. Vincze-Kuti, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX R4 +2:20.9
    9. Rongits-Hannus, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX +2:28.8
    10. Lencse-Hofbauer, Ford Fiesta R5 +2:28.8

Notable retirements: Kazár (a bus hit him between stages and broke his suspension), Turi (he returned after 3 years I think, but his car (Impreza R4 from Fogassy) was shit, and eventually it broke down so much it went no further), Ranga P. (he drove the Topp Cars Fabia R5, but the rear crossmember came loose and had to stop; he was leading for a couple of stages yesterday), Kovács (mechanical), Hadik (the aforementioned crash).
