On first stage it was obvios that both, Neubauer and Baumschlager were on full attack, and Hermann was 1sec/km faster, after day one (36 sec/67km) Neubauer was just keeping the gap, which is imo smart, specially after throwing away the win couple of times in the past by making mistakes or technical issues.

I think Neubauer did a good job in rebenland, if you consider his long break, very limited testing and first rallye in WRC...

btw Neubauers car is 2014 spec, Grössings 2013...Grössing did what he anounced before: driving for fun because he can afford it...

If someone is saying R5 Fabia isn´t slower than WRC of course it´s bullshit...

Baumschlager won 90% of all Rallies in the last 10 years...and we are still alive....so where is the problem if Neubauer wins a few races?

They had choosed them from their power advantage.Lets see when Vallejos drive r5 cars if they will get 5 wins so easy.
Vallejo is a top driver and he will easily adapt to R5 (like Fontes did in Portugal).

The N+ Evo’s evolution from last year it’s surprising: in ’15 Garcia was almost 2s/km slower than fastest 911’s. Now he was able to beat Burgo easily and was less than 1s/km slower than Cruz.

With 1300kg, more than 350hp (36mm), sequential gearbox, R4 suspensions and free brakes, N+’s are the new R5 killer in Spain.

RFEA undermined 911’s to get more diversity, but ironically the championship can become a sort of Evo cup…

Under N+ what fuel are you able to run? In NZ some of the Evo's running E85 and 36mm restrictors are up over 260wkw.

What is cheaper/easier to maintain though, an Evo or an R5?

Well, now I don't understand following issue : when we have spoken over P911 GT3 Cup cars on rally stages, there were some guys very loud how they need to be stopped, restricted....and all kind of bullsh#*xx...and their whining was finnaly accepted; but when the EvoX, which doesn't fit either to any FIA group and is again faster (and also cheaper to buy & run) then R5, they are silent.....interesting.

By the way - I'm happy for Garcia, no doubt about that and I'm not the guy who would scream like a small baby that the car is against FIA rules....that's the way it is. I like diversity.
