Last weekend there was a short Dutch rally, only 6 hours from start to finish and 8 nice stages from where I visited 5 stages to film.
Enjoy the footage!

Despite of its great gravel stages, the demanding Schneebergland Rallye always had small entries.
The named drivers was missing due to various reasons: Neubauer (injury), Brugger (final school exams), Saibel (asphalt preference),...
But be sure for the next round Rallye Weiz (August 8th-9th) there will be a quality and quantity lineup as in the earlier 2014 events.

Christian does have the faster car, and seemed to have the edge all day.
There were a lot of retirements, but very few accidents, which is of course a good thing.
We did however have a massive crash during the shakedown event Friday night, both driver and his passenger (a sponsor) were kept overnight, but released Saturday with no major injuries. The car (306 Maxi) supposedly is a write-off, but the driver has vowed to rebuild it patiently.
Brian had an issue with the fuel supply about 500 metres from the end of stage 9. Haven't heard anything official from him, but unconfirmed rumours said 'no fuel = no fuel supply', but I am in no way sure that is true. Fact is, it went no further.
All in all, it was a good day, some very challenging stages combined with a lot of speed, plenty of spectators on the stages to watch the cars - and we had the mayor out to do a ceremonial start in the city centre.. between service 1 and stage 4.
Kim Madsen was excluded post-race for an engine non-conformity, but that has since been rescinded, as the method of measuring was apparently not applicable to the geometry of the 208 R2 engine.
Championshipwise, it's in Ibs hands, he just needs to finish second in the rallies and on the points-paying stage, then he's champion. Realistically, it's Ib's to lose, Christian Jensen as the biggest contender, and Tim Svanholt ready to pounce if the other two have issues.. like he won it last year. The rest are basically gone.
Kenneth Madsen will win Tuned National for the third year running in the same car unless all hell breaks loose, only the much-improved Jesper Troels-Smith in the not-so-flash-for-rallying Peugeot RCZ has a mathematical chance.
Kim Madsen took the lead in 2WD by winning, 6 points ahead of Klaus Hammer, with Jacob Jensen in a 208 a further 9 point behind. Should be interesting, as Hammer has a much faster car, but Kim (and Jacob) are better drivers, especially since Hammer still is not comfortably after his massive crash last year.
Kasper Nyman should win Standard National, and that's all that needs to be said about that division.
Next round is in Odder, just south of the second-largest city Aarhus.
It's not until September 6th, and is supposedly going to be a 'test-event' for a proposed format change for the Danish championship, which would allow drivers to show up Saturday morning for recce and go home Saturday night with trophies. Not sure if I'm a fan, personally, but it should be interesting to see.
Long summer holiday now, so plenty of time to fix the broken cars!

Thanks ChristianArp for this report
The problem with events like this is that while it is for sure great fun for the crews it is also rather boring to watch for the spectators. Still I think that at least one such event shall be on the...
