Real rally conditions with darkness, mud, gravel and a lot of sudden rain. Kreim went off in the lead after loosing the car on a fast crest in stage 4 where he lost 6 minutes. Apart from that he won 13/14 stages. Yes Wallenwein broke the steering rod and got no spare from BRR neither Ramonat broken gearbox. Riebensahm in a ROMO 208 T16 R5 stopped after last stage on the way back to service.

Weijs looked really good indeed. Weak performance of Kobus, but I also heard something about him being ill.
Also a bad performance of Bob de Jong, can't see him pushing the DS3 to its limits soon, looks so slow.Follow us at http://facebook.com/rallymedia or http://www.rallymedia.nl !

There was non-homologated ride-height-control device on the rear axle. The system looked similar to those of works M-Sport cars but wasn't completely same.

In Austria all top drivers - even Baumschlager gave his OK - want actual WRC-cars to be allowed in Austrian championship.

Maybe the official coverage didnt make the most of the island and the rally and once again it was other creators who came up with some great footage. Tarmac is a contentious surface for some...
