Deutschland Rally - Driving from UK to Trier
Deutschland Rally - Driving from UK to Trier
Im sure there will be a few of us members here heading out to Germany for the WRC,
I was just wondering what routes you are thinking of doing to get there?
Our plan is to get use the EURO Tunnel and then get out of France to avoid the toll roads, then not sure which route as yet..
Can head down from Belgium to LUX and then into western Germany, or another option is to continue east and enter Germany in the north west and down that way.. (thinking the Autobahns may help make up a bit of time)
Would be interested to see which routes your thinking of doing..
Cheers
Rick

I'm going Dover to Dunkirk. Then non-toll all the way on the best route recommmended by Google Maps. Brussels ring and avoid Luxembourg altogether by going further east. Check the Norfolk Ferry prices for the crossing times you want.

We're off tomorrow - 8 a.m. ferry to Dunkirk.
Motorway through Belgium, stopping off at the Spa-Francorchamps Museum, then down to campsite at Sensweiler, which is midway between the Mosel & Panzerplatte groups of stages.
Anyone interested in aircraft, check out the Aviation Museum in Hermeskeil - http://www.flugausstellung.de/
After the rally on to Czecho for the IRC round the next weekend.
Cheers,
Roy
