    Congrats Seb Jr

Famous last words as he hasn't yet finished the last stage but it's good to see another new winner in the WRC. HIs performance on Rally GB in icy conditions in 2008 certainly proved how good he was
Rule 1 of the forum, always accuse anyone who disagrees with you of bias.I would say that though.

Yes I'd like to echo Daniel's words. I watched the stunning performance by Ogier in Wales 2008.
I wonder if we have seen the beginning of a new order in WRC? Sure Marcus and Mikko have defeated Loeb on the odd occasion but I always got the feeling that it was a temporary blip in Loeb's dominance, and he bounced back next rally or so, and those Ford guy wins were often as a result of Loeb's problems. Now I feel we have a young driver in Seb Ogier who can regularly beat Loeb, please Citroen Sport dont deprive us of this - let battle continue and Allez Ogier!!!!

Agree, that his performance in 2008 at RallyGB was the announcement that this kid has the pace. Then the Monte in 2009, winning with only setting 1 fastest time - this showed he was level headed. The rest of the year was mixed, with plenty of offs, but calmed down and ended the year reasonably well.
In my mind, this years Monte was when he stepped his pace up. Most fastest times, even with Hirvonen in the field.
All he needs to do now is improve on Tarmac - and keep his consistency.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

I would say that Ogier is the first driver since Grönholm who will be able to equal Loeb on gravel. I wouldn't speak about Hirvonen and Grönholm in the same sentence as Grönholm was as fast as Loeb on gravel in every rally whereas Hirvonen is few minutes slower in certain rallies.

In this rally I see that Loeb was still marginally faster (even if road-positions regarded) but got too much penalted in the first day. Now I would want to see fair rallies with previous road-position system to see what's the difference between Seb's when both are pushing for the whole rally with same road-positions.

its nice that we have a new capable winner in the sport...this year it will make Loebs Championship a walk in the park but next year we might have a true fight, now that the ford team as a whole is a bunch of garbage from top to bottom ranks.

First win-always the hardest, the most desirable, never forgotten...Respect to joung Seb !
In last five, six years yust on a few occasions managed few drivers to beat Mr.Loeb fair (meaning Loeb had no troubles) and Ogier's victory is definitely one of them!! Ogier retained the leadership on the second and third day, I can not remember, when happend this on a gravel race....
I'm in impatient anticipation for a tarmac races later this year as we do not now, if Ogier made any progress within drivers skills on tarmac....now first test in the mid June arround Italian Genoa (Lanterna Rally), we will see....
However, it is time for celebration, Seb junior!!
I can not imagine what a nightmare have people like Malcom W, Mikko H, JML,...when they see someone named Sebastian.....

Malcom wilson has his mind to waste money on his useless son

Mikko hirvonen has nothing to offer any more...natural born loser.

Latvala has the speed and the charisma i think his manager must pay more than he is now to ford to get him 1st priority there

About Ogier he has everything with him right now...and he won his first event in true style after chasing it for some time now and not due to luck or in a specialised event as Latvala, Hirvonenn, duval ects

Harsh words......But some truth in them....still, Mikko is capable of winning, but with a lots of luck and much more courage and risk....
