Well it is not really an S2000.
Argentinean Championship has created a new possibility, a locallly created S2000 like (regionally produced) cars, but with a unique supplied engien and gearbox.
Engine is a Honda 2.4 litre, aiming same performance as S2000 ones but with less cost and extended service intervals.
First car would be that VW Gol, next one a local Punto, and expecting for a 207 (what is know in Europeas 206+) and local Fiesta (not current generation of Fiesta).
I do not like this move, as it will isolate Argentina form international scene, but it is the way the organisers are trying to attract local car manufacturers. (and their money, obviously)Zeque
