Talking RYR is NOT for sale !!!

Robert Yates Racing team owner Robert Yates said he is NOT selling the operation.
Robert Yates insists it's full speed ahead with BOTH of his Nextel Cup cars in 2007.
It makes sense as BOTH cars are guaranteed starting spots for the 1st 4 races in 2007.
The RYR #88 is 22nd & the RYR #38 is 25th in Owner's Points locking them into the starting field.
Rumor has it that Mars Corporation may sponsor BOTH Yates Nextel Cup teams next season.

No announcement yet about who the driver of the #88 will be.
Lots of rumors are flying .....
Johnny Sauter is on RYR's short list, however Sauter just signed with Haas Racing for the #70 car.
Ricky Rudd is also on the list but he doesn't want to compete full time.
It doesn't look like Stephen Leicht will get it as he is signed to another full season in the Busch Series.

David Starr was linked to the ride earlier this year and has just been released from his truck team...
Message to Ganassi - Get Sterling in the #40 full-time. Those were the days.

Starr is probably the leading candidate.

Could Yates get Rudd & Elliott to split the season?
Otherwise get Rudd for as many races as he'll do, and start getting Leicht or David Starr, Justin Diercks, or Matt McCall experienced to take over.

That hasn't exactly prohibited drivers from doing both in the last few years.
