Longest serving BTCC drivers
Just wondered who has had the longest BTCC career? I am guessing Dave Pinkney, BTCC since 1989 on and off as far as I know. Matt Neal is another 'veteran' i guess but i think he started in the early 90's. Has anyone else been in the series longer? And of previous drivers, has anyone topped the 21 years in the sport of mr Pinkney?

I wouldn't count Pinkney becaue he's had so many seasons absent. Maybe Gerry Marshall?

Rouse did 1974 til 1994 but may have missed some years in late 70's Neal's raced every season since middle of 91 and with the two and race three formats must have done must races. Pinkney started in 89 I think but has been too hit n miss to get near these two. Plato started in 97 and will also have done a lot of races thanks to the 2/3 race format even tho he missed the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
Just at the last Grand Prix Alonso moaned that the FIA isn’t handling the penalty situations fairly and are preferring some nations
