btw it's not *always* better to contribute to an existing thread.
e.g. If there is a 'chat' thread going on but you want to discuss a specific topic that's already discussed in the general thread e.g. 'That was a boring race'. Then it's perfectly fine to start a new topic to discuss it.

Personally I've no desire to wade through 15 pages and read every post to find a sub-topic that interests me.

In addition if you have a thread e.g.
"Driver X is going to FIA hearing"..
then it's perfectly ok to start a new thread saying
"Driver X is banned for 10 races"
as it's a significant new development in it's own right.

And there will always be posters who take themselves far too seriously and who have amazingly thin skins. Good entertainment sometimes, I'd think.
