I think you'll find Denny left Brabham at the end of his Championship year in 1967 ...

I think you might be right somehow.
The Old Republic was a stupidly run organisation which deserved to be taken over. All Hail Palpatine!

The reference is to world champions at the time, (or past), not a future champ. Keke Rosberg was WC in 1982, not in 1986 when he partnered Prost at McLaren.

I don't see your point. In 1986 Prost was the reigning champion and Rosberg had won in 1982. That made them both world champions driving for the same team.

My apologies: Of course you and Rollo are correct.

I guess that means that Massa was the 2010 World Champion.

In the 1978 Austrian Grand Prix 8 of the starting 26 drivers had won or would win the world championship, and 21 would win at least one grand prix. Pretty solid grid.

mmm, I think it's quite evident that Massa blew his only real shot of winning the championship in 2008, I think he probably knows it too which is why he's still so bitter about the whole thing - you got beaten fair and square Felipe, bitching about it wont help you. As or 2010 I can't see Massa even being a serious challenge to Alonso over the span of the season within the Ferrari team, how that plays out in the championship will go down to where Ferrari are pace wise when the season starts - don't try and judge anything from testing teams, Ferrari have already admitted they were running "2009" fuel loads at the first test - ie. light!

Nothing changes. Jack Brabham called his autobiography "When the flag drops": the rest of the phrase is "the b**ls**t stops".
