I think that here in CZ we'll have also Opel Adam cup again which is normally held on a mixture of events from various championships/cups.

By the way marketing director of Opel CZ Mr. Barčák is currently leading R2 class in the opening championship event ahead of all Peugeot R2 cup drivers...

French junior championship will be a one-make cup with Fiesta R2T "National".

What are the experiences with the Fiesta R2 National used in France?
Is a good car starting a carreer in?

But a bit strange to choose a german car over a french one....

I'm codriving in one this weekend, will let you know then

Opel is stopping the production of the Adam Cup car. The cup might continue under ADAC, but not with Opel involvement anymore. So no works seat for the winner anymore next year.

Because neither Renault, nor Citroën and Peugeot wanted to be involved in the FFSA Junior championship anymore I guess

    My impressions about the car:
First of all, it was very wet and muddy. Relatively unexperienced driver, had never driven the car in the wet.
Engine: 3 cylinder 1l turbo, almost stock. Weakest point of the car. With the R2 sequential gearbox (great gearbox) the car always falls to low in revs when shifting up. Therefore, you have a lot of turbo lag after shifting (+-2s before the turbo really kicks in). In first gear you even need to clutch kick to really get going, especially at the start. And that on flat Belgian stages, not even in the hills or mointains. I think the car is horrible in the mountains...
Suspension: Pretty good. Basic and not adjustable, but solid. Not much understeer (apart from the real muddy places), slight oversteer at high speed. Maybe on dry roads and closer to the limit, it will be better to judge.
Brakes: good brakes, everything you need.

All in all, decent car, good to get first experience with. But we were competing in the class with R2 cars and home made 1600 group A cars. We weren't really competive against those. There were a few Adam Cup cars too, and I think they have a better engine (judging by how they got off the line). Although I haven't been in the Adam cup car yet, I feel that might be the better choice unless you want to compete in the French cup.

If any other questions, don't hesitate to pm
