TRD 3 V8 Supercar Rd 1 Details - Adelaide.
Rd 1 of the 2007 V8 Supercar takes us to Adelaide - a very demanding street course. This Rd will be a semi- enduro. Please READ the DETAILS CAREFULLY & STICK STRICTLY to the SETTINGS.
RD 1 DETAILS & SETTINGS:
TRACK: Adelaide
LENGTH: 25 laps
SETTINGS:
*A.I: Set to HARD
*DEFAULT MODE for car settings - for both Qualifying & Race. This means you CANNOT alter anything!
*RACE SETTINGS: Careless Driving OFF, Cutting Corners OFF, ALL flags ON, Damage ON.
*PITS set to OPTIONAL
*RESTARTS: Allowed upto end of lap 3
TIMES: pm your Fastest Qualifying Time(Q/T) -remember the top 5 get pts & your Overall Time(O/T) & Fastest Lap (F/L) by midnight Sun. 4th March
I decided on DEFAULT mode for Rd1 so that everyone could start on an even playing field. Pitting is set to Optonal, but on default tyres(50%) it would be hard to do 25 laps without a stop - so strategy - if & when to stop could play a major part in the result. For this race because of the nature of the track I have taken Careless Driving & Cutting Corners OFF.WINNER: *V8 Supercar 2006,2007 *DTM 2006,Runner Up 2007 *BTCC 2006 *Clio 2006/7 *RoC 2006 *GT's 2006

alright 25 laps
should be interesting with Default setup, I hope no one will take advantage of that though.
I think it is also impossible to run 25 laps with 50% Tyres. I think a few of them will blow off the rimBrian France is a violation of Section 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing)

WHOA! 25 laps! But enduros (even semi's) are always fun
I REALLY want to do better in these beasts. Last season my V8 performance was not on par with my GT and DTM performance.

I ran some practice laps just to get a feel for the Holden around Adelaide, and I felt pretty good, plenty of room for improvement.

I'm going to do 20(ish) lap practice session to see how long the tyres can last.
In the codies hall of fame are the genuine laps the ones from 1:04's+
Are we going to submit practice laps into the Hall of Fame and see how high up page 2 we can get.Tazio 14/3/2015: I'll give every member on this forum 1,000.00 USD if McLaren fails to podium this season!

i've got a busy schedule ahead of me..so, dont expect a decent result from me this time round. Although having default setups are going to help a bit.
How do I print my voicemail?

Re V8's
The cars have started rolling out at Adelaide in full earnest for the 25 lapper. As a guide here are the top 5 qualifying times from last year's series. The race was also run on Default mode:
1.P.Vuko 1m.10.96
2.Mixa 1m.11.45
3.Muz 1m.11.63
4.S.Vuko 1m.11.73
5.R_illusions 1m.12.70
I'm expecting even faster times this year with drivers having had a full year of experience with these cars. The times on Codies have been set with the turbo boost cheats & are of no relevance for this series. I will where I can, post the times of last years qualifying before each Rd to give everyone an idea of pace. This won't be possible for the International tracks because they were not in the series last year.
If people want to discuss Practise & Qualifying times in the lead up to this week's race, can we not give exact times, rather just reveal if you are in the 10's ,11's ,12's....etcWINNER: *V8 Supercar 2006,2007 *DTM 2006,Runner Up 2007 *BTCC 2006 *Clio 2006/7 *RoC 2006 *GT's 2006

I reckon we'll be even quicker this year as we'll be able to carry more speed through the corners as the "Cutting" option will now be open to all drivers, my qualifying time was in the 1m14s bracket in 2006 so I really need to find some speed if I'm to carry through my form into the new season.
Hopefully the #88 Team Vodafone Falcon BF will do the business for me!Michael \"Beef\" Park 1966 - 2005 RIP

Those times from last year don't look too forbidable. In the fling I was managing 1:12s straight out of the box. I'm usually a few seconds slower than the front runners in V8's but I seem to go well on street circuits. I think that I got 2nd on the grid at Surfers last year, but I retired from the race. Looking forward to making a good start here.
I can take the first corners flat out in practice but I bet it will get tricky when the tyres get worn.Tazio 14/3/2015: I'll give every member on this forum 1,000.00 USD if McLaren fails to podium this season!
Not important, but nice to see that he has still the ability to drive fast
