    I beg to differ.

Check out the rear shot on this car ad.

The rear of that car is as delivered from the factory here in Australia. Perhaps it is different in Europe, but they've always been called GT Fours in Australia. I've owned two myself (an ST185 and an ST205).

    My list would be.

    1. 99 Subaru WRC
    2. Alpine A110
    3. Escort Mk1
    4. Delta Integrale

That is not a Group B car but a Group A rallycross special. It's one awesome car though, one of my all time favourites in Rallycross.

I will give an old RAC Rally programme a look, but I do seem to remember them being known as a Toyota Celica Turbo 4WD on the entry list.
The models before and after are GT4's.

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

As for Rallycars I always dreamed about the Ford Sierra RS500 Cosworth. Other nice cars, Peugeot 206 WRC, Mercedes 450 SLC, Metro 6r4, both Alpines, Lancia Delta.

Hmm. Looks like I either want very round cars or very square ones...

Might just be the hologation name? Just like some people would call the Legacy a Legacy Group A and some would say Legacy RS

That's an interesting choise, since it's a failed Ford project. I do like the looks of it though.
