Apart from Primal Scream which I totally agree with, typical NME bland list blatantly raided from past end of year lists.

Only surprise was Sufjan Stevens and no Eminem.

nice to see Radiohead , Muse , YeahX3 , The Strokes get among the lists...although would have dearly loved to see a mention for Steven Wilson and prolly some heavy metal albums there

No Killers on the list - Americans who CAN make music! Just shows the list is a pile of crap.

Happy with The Streets getting the recognition in there, although I would put A Grand Don't Come for Free at Number 1.
Without the Strokes Indie music would not be as big as it is today, They are in my opinion trend setters

    On a different note
I watched Julian Casablancas perform his solo album last Monday and wow it blew the crowd away even before the show he tried all the instruments ,drums ,key boards everything and was telling the stage managers exactly how he wants each instrument tuned ,from interviews Ive read he wrote almost every bit of Is This It, as a musician I think he can be mentioned under the same breath as Jack White .

sorry, can't contribute anything, at least Radiohead is still there in the list. just feel today's music is not much in my taste, find good only a few of them, music of 90's and playing around with contemporary playmate is far interesting...

My vote out of the top 20 there would go to Knights of Cydonia by Muse.

Pleased to see The Shins, Wilco, Bright Eyes, Elbow and Brendan Benson in there.

Otherwise - a mixed bag! *laughs*
